City Wide Business Model
Dear Stakeholders,
Over the last few weeks you might have seen some media coverage regarding the City of Adelaide exploring the implementation of a City Wide Business Model. The purpose of this project is to accelerate and drive economic growth and prosperity for the City and position Adelaide as a great place to live, work, study, visit and invest. As the City of Adelaide works through how this new subsidiary will be implemented, I wanted to reassure you that the Rundle Mall Management Authority will continue to be committed to the ongoing support and promotion of the Rundle Mall Precinct.
By now you should have all received Rundle Mall’s Roadmap to Recovery booklet, both an electronic copy delivered to your inbox and a printed booklet hand-delivered to your premises. This seven-month program has been designed by my team to bring activity back into the Mall in a staged approach, with a focus on delivering new experiences and exciting spaces that create a colourful, inviting and comfortable hub that attracts visitors back to the heart of the city.
As you walk through the Mall you will already see:
- Pop-up seating zone and planters at Gawler Place
- Twinkling fairy lights overhead and across the Mall to add warmth
- Large digital screens with vibrant imagery, with safety and thank you messaging from the Lord Mayor and the Premier
- Extra music and PA safety messaging to lift people’s moods and reinforce messaging
- Hand sanitiser stations throughout key places in the Mall
- Pop-up signage reinforcing social distancing
Throughout July and August you will see more green spaces pop-up along the Mall as well as fairy lights in the trees and pops of nature with oversized plant pots.
You may have also seen our TV campaign that started on the 14 June, encouraging shoppers back to the Mall.
