City dining voucher promotion

The Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) and the Government of South Australia  are encouraging people to eat out in the city, appealing to the public’s tastebuds with 25,000 x $30 vouchers to use at participating businesses.

Vouchers can be redeemed for dine-in food (not valid for drinks) at any time of day: breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any time in between. The redemption period will commence in March (date TBC) and will conclude on 31 May.

How redemption will work:

  • The voucher holder presents their QR code at the point of sale.
  • The business scans the code using their own mobile device (eg smart phone or iPad).
  • The voucher is confirmed as valid and the business is prompted to input the value redeemed (up to $30).
  • The business charges the customer for their meal as per usual, less the voucher value (up to $30).
  • AEDA will reimburse the business for the vouchers redeemed weekly. All information is transferred electronically when the voucher is redeemed - no receipts are required.

To register your business for the campaign, fill out the registration form by Monday 21 February 2022.

Why should you get involved?

Across AEDA’s ‘Adelaide’s Long Lunch’ and ‘Dinner’s On Us’ last year, Rundle Mall retailers Clio Café, Hawker Walker, Soonta (Rundle Place), Two-Bit Villians, Mr Viet and Warong (just to name a few) received over 100 redemptions of the $30 voucher across the promotional period.

Over 80% of redemptions generated additional spend over the voucher redemption.

We’re encouraging as many qualifying hospitality businesses as possible in the Rundle Mall Precinct to get behind this campaign and take advantage of this opportunity to attract visitors back into the Precinct.
