State Opera South Australia's Golden Jubilee Performance

As part of State Opera South Australia’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, this special Rundle Mall activation will bring the joy of opera into the heart of the city with two live performances by members of the renowned State Opera Chorus.

Presented as a preview of the company’s major Golden Jubilee Chorus Concert at St Peter’s Cathedral, the activation will feature two 20-minute performances showcasing a selection of celebrated operatic choruses and audience favourites. The performances will highlight the extraordinary talent and artistry of the State Opera Chorus while celebrating the company’s 50-year contribution to South Australia’s cultural life.

Between performances, State Opera South Australia will host a ceremonial Golden Jubilee cake cutting to mark this significant milestone, with invited guests joining the celebration. This free public event invites shoppers, visitors and the wider community to experience the power of live opera and join in celebrating 50 years of State Opera South Australia.

Join us for the performance on Saturday 7 November, from 12pm – 1:30pm, at the Gawler Place Canopy.
