For 50 years now, Rundle Mall has been shaped by the people who walk through the arcades and laneways, through the centres, and along the pavement to their destinations. From local Adelaideans who have made their lunch-time plans to 'Meet at the Malls Balls', to the travellers from far and wide who have found joy in our four piggy friends.
It's become the backdrop to countless South Australian stories for 50 years - first jobs and first dates, weekend strolls in the sunshine, or essential errands completed late on a Friday to round out their week. It's created lasting memories - discovering a little bit of festive wonder at the Magic Cave, shopping every floor of John Martin's (thanks to the lift ladies!), skipping school to be serenaded by Boy George atop the Richmond Hotel overpass, and of course, Dazzeland cementing its place as a core memory.
As we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to share your stories and memories of Rundle Mall.
