Elder Conservatorium of Music pops up in Rundle Mall!
On Saturday 20 October 2012 at 12.30pm, Rundle Mall shoppers were treated to a very special impromptu concert under the Gawler Place Canopy.
In a partnership with the Adelaide University Elder Conservatorium of Music and Rundle Mall Management, students spontaneously performed Handel’s Messiah in preparation for and promotion of the Elder Conservatorium Chorale’s upcoming performance of the piece on Saturday 27 October 2012. Shoppers looked on in amazement as the Chorale spontaneously gathered around a single keyboard to perform, and then scattered at the conclusion of the song.
